SLS Trip (10/6)
- We need the final head count for the trip, so contact Steve if you haven’t told him whether you are able to go.
- Transportation
o UR has a contract with Enterprise Rentals, so we can rent a van
o Alissa will also be driving, but she’ll be staying in Massachusetts until Monday
- Steve will forward Gerald’s cost worksheet to the board.
Fall Social Event (10/18)
- Plan for event: Meet in Hopeman 224 at 7 PM for a meet & greet and food, then leave for the bowling alley at 8 PM. The event should be over by 10 PM.
- Marc will call the bowling alley (either Clover Lanes or Bowl-a-Roll) to get a group rate / reserve lanes.
- Steve and Joni will look into chartering a bus.
Pumpkin Launch (11/2)
- We’d like to finalize the rules for the competition by the end of next week’s meeting.
- Joni suggested trying to reserve Hirst Lounge so people could watch from there, especially if it’s cold.
- The hot apple cider was popular last year, so it might be a good idea to sell cider again.
- Gerald and Sarilyn plan to participate in the pumpkin launch.
- Alissa agreed to look into getting t-shirts or sweatshirts to sell at the event. (Rick Tacular made the t-shirts last year)
Other Business
- ASME Paraphenalia: Aside from ASME hooded sweatshirts, bottle openers and ASME winter hats were also proposed.
- We talked about selling pizza at the Lego League tournament as a fundraiser, so I looked up the date online. The tournament is on Sunday, December 9 (in Georgen gym). Here’s the website:
