ASME Sweatshirts

-         Marc will send an e-mail to announce that students may order their sweatshirts now.

-         Someone from each class will collect orders in classes.

Roast (4/4)

-         The Roast was a lot of fun!

-         ASME donated $50 to Professor Funkenbusch’s ‘hair project’. In total, over $300 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House.

-         Ideas to think about for next year’s Roast:

o       Setup: The new design with the dance floor in the center of the room got mixed reviews. Three tables to the floor’s right were somewhat isolated. People liked the bar near the dance floor, and open space in the center for mingling. However, it was hard to see the PowerPoint presentation for most tables. Most of the professors liked that we assigned seats to the professors – but some were assigned to tables where few students sat.

o       The DJ (Ryan from Go Sound Systems) was inexpensive, and the dance music was good. Not everyone liked the dinner music, which was too much like elevator music.

o       The Coors was the least popular beverage, so less Coors might be a good idea next year.

o       The vegetarian food was better last year than it was this year.

ASME / Mini-Baja Cookout

-         We want to have it sometime in late April, possibly the last Friday before classes end (April 25th) at around 3 PM. We still need to check for conflicts with Baja’s travel schedule, a talk in Hopeman, or a faculty meeting.

-         Officers for next year’s executive board will be elected at the meeting.

Other Business

-         Start thinking about what was good/bad this year in ASME.

-         If you’re an officer, take some notes on what you do for whomever replaces you.

-         Begin thinking about what position you might want for next year if you will still be here! Officers will be decided at the cookout.
