Sweatshirts

-         The sweatshirt order has arrived, and you can pick yours up in the office.

-         Remember to pay if you owe; the accounting is still not fully worked out.

Remaining agenda for this year:

-         We need to select a date for the fall picnic and book the Roundhouse at GVP. The date will probably be the second or third Friday of the school year, 9/12 or 9/19, barring conflicts with the Activities Fair. The Roundhouse costs about $90 to rent. Whoever is responsible should talk to Jill about it.

-         Joni will meet with Professor Lambropoulos to officially nominate Professor Gans as our advisor.

-         We should check with the CCC to be sure we are in good club standing. We will need to be in good standing to register for the Activities Fair in the fall.

-         Officer Mailing List: Send a mailing list for the current officers to Professor Gans.

-         September/October recruitment events should be planned early.

Assorted Business

-         Clarke Scholarships: We did not apply for scholarship money this year, so the class of 2012 is out of luck. We should, however, be sure to apply next year so we can give these scholarships again in the future.

-         Pumpkin Launch

o       The rules will be made available earlier next year to encourage potential competitors.

o       We could talk to Professor Lambropoulos to see if there is anything we can do to stimulate participation. Someone could contact John Ballou to see if there is money available that could be offered as stipends. We might also see if the library has money leftover from the Scare Fair budget.

o       High schools need time to prepare launchers, so we should get the word out early if we expect to have any high school competitors.

-         Senior Section

o       Steve will now be part of the Senior Section.

o       UR ASME / Senior Section combined events would improve our relationship with them.

-         Previous Officers: Write up a brief summary of your responsibilities, challenges you faced, and recommendations for next year.

-         Webmaster: We didn’t elect one. I will work on the website over the summer if there are no underclassman volunteers.

Things to think about:

o       What are we going to do next year?

o       Who are we asking for money from?

o       We should plan ahead as much as we can so our potential sources of funding are aware of what we plan to do and why we need the funds.
