SPDC (3/28 – 3/29)
- SPDC is ASME’s conference for all of Section A. It will be on the weekend of March 28th, at RIT.
- Poster competition; oral presentations; website competition
o Each school can submit two entries (must be individual projects)
o Summer work; fluids/solids lab projects might be appropriate entries.
- Other SPDC events:
o Design competition: window-washing robots
o Delphi Henrietta tour, 10 AM – 12 AM Saturday
Engineering Dodgeball Tournament
- Date TBA. Possibly a Saturday afternoon / early afternoon (1 PM)
- Gerald is organizing the event along with AICHE and BMES
Other Business
- Roast Planning Committee report
o No final ticket price yet
o Skits to be planned after spring break
- Sweatshirts: E-mail George your sweatshirt size if you have not yet done so.
- Fusion Energy Talk
o Professor Betti
o Probable venue: the Mel (as long as we can do it for less than $1000)
o Tentative date: April 16th, or the week after.
o Senior Section will help to fund the event.
- FE exam preparation: possibly student-run; faculty lectures?
