11/7

Pumpkin Launch (11/2)

-         We made about $35 from cider sales.

-         E-mail your photos (or burn a CD) to Brian for the website.

-         Notes for next year:

o       Advertise more, earlier

o       Have an interest meeting

o       Change rules? Make smaller scale?

Engineering Mixer (11/9)

-         On the Rocks (walking distance from campus). Buses loop from ITS

-         7-10 PM, this Friday 11/8

-         Sponsored by engineers (BMES, IEEE, OSA)

Lego League (12/9)

-         Location: the Palestra

-         We have the lunch spot to sell pizza, sometime between 11 and 3. Almost everyone seems to be free to help out.

-         Joni will talk to Papa John’s about getting the pizzas (last year we got 65 pizzas)

-         Alissa has a BJ’s card, so we will purchase soda there.

Sweatshirts

-         I’ll work on some designs this weekend and e-mail them. E-mail other ideas to the board!

-         We should order the sweatshirts before Thanksgiving break.

Other Business

-         ASME Poster for the board in Hopeman

o       To decorate the board, there are a few options – we could either make a poster using the large-format printer in Hopeman, or tack things to the board as has been done in the past. The idea everyone seemed to like the best was doing half and half. The half printed on the large-format printer would be general information, to stay up for several years. The other half would be pictures and current ASME information pinned to the board.

o       Both halves are about 2 ft by 3ft, with the long dimension in the vertical. (The entire board is about 4 ft wide by 3 ft tall).

-         The RIT volleyball competition has been cancelled/postponed.

-         Gerald has the reimbursement money for the SLS conference from the Senior Section.

-         The ASME office is going to be cleaned out this weekend (Saturday, 11/10, at 2 pm). George and Steve volunteered to help, along with anyone else who is free at that time.

-         The plan for the Fall ASME social is:

o       Informational Meeting

o       Activity (building something, etc)

o       Ice Skating (free skate at GVP)

-         Think about ideas for Spring Semester events.
