Pumpkin Launch (11/2)

- Put up flyers! Flyers are printed and ready in the ME office.

- Joni will write letters to potential judges.

- Steve will look into publicity ideas for the Pumpkin Launch:

o Weekly Buzz

o Lisa Norwood SEAS e-mails

o CAB “Halloweekend” flyers

- The rules are now available online at the ASME website.

- On Friday 10/12 Alissa submitted a request to reserve Wilson Commons for the event; however, we’re still waiting to hear back from them.

- Pumpkin Launcher Building Days (next weekend)

o Saturday, October 27^th – Steve on duty

o Sunday, October 28^th – Marc on duty

- Apple Cider: We need to obtain a food permit and locate some carafes to keep the cider hot.

ASME Sweatshirts

- Alissa brought some design preliminaries to the meeting. She had drawn up a shirt with yellow letters “UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER” above white letters “MECHANICAL ENGINEERING”. According to www.customink.com, these shirts would cost:

o $15.20 each – 90 shirts

o $15.60 each – 60 shirts

o $30 each – 6 shirts

- Alissa also plans to check with a local place for pricing.

- If you have an idea for a shirt design, send it to Alissa by Sunday (this weekend) at the latest for it to be considered.
