Electospinning Research

Electrospinning is an effective and attractive processing technology to generate micro/nanofibers from polymers and has a variety of applications in tissue engineering, such as scaffolds for skin, vascular graft, bone and blood vessel. It can also be used in drug delivery systems because drugs can be easily capsulated directly into electrospun biopolymer fibers and membranes. Furthermore, electrospinning is capable of preparing micro/nanofibers for many other potential applications, such as templates for nanotubes, conductive wires, nanostructured electrolytes, and components in photo-catalysis, gas storage, filtration, sensing and nanoelectronics fields.
